2017 sees Edinburgh University Music Society reach the grand old age of 150 and we think that is something to celebrate!
To mark this terrific milestone, EUMS will be hosting a truly spectacular concert in the Usher Hall on 25th November.
We’ll be celebrating our 150th Anniversary with a special performance of Carl Orff’s exuberant showpiece, Carmina Burana, which was premiered in Scotland by EUMS in 1963! The programme will also feature George Gershwin’s jazz influenced classic, An American in Paris.
Audience members are also invited to join the society for a ‘Come and Sing’ Carmina Burana on Sunday 26th November in the Reid Concert Hall. Tickets for this event can be bought alongside concert tickets or separately on the door. The ‘Come and Sing’ will be free for EUMS members.
